MBTI Temperaments- an Introduction

by

Welcome to my very first video blog! In this series we will talk about the four MBTI temperaments. If you are familiar with your MBTI type, you know that it is a set of four letters, for example- ISFJ, ENTP, or ISTP. It is important to know that full type because it has all sorts of rich information about what makes you tick. Today though we will be talking about the temperaments, which is one level broader than your four letter type.

I like to use the temperaments mainly because I think this core of who you are is more important than whether you might be introverted or extraverted, for example. Sometimes we can get stuck on – am I an INFP or an ENFP? when really what matters most is that you are an NF. These four groups are the most fundamental differences between people.

Check out what I have to say on my video blog here:

Please leave me a comment and tell me what you want to know! Some examples would be- NTs as spouses, SJs as leaders, how to resolve conflict with SPs, etc. I’d also love to know whether you prefer the videos or written blogs.

Thanks and see you soon!

Jan

Thanks so much for this Jan! Really clear and helpful. I am so NF! What kinds of struggles do NFs in particular tend to face in their careers? How can they usually be most happy with their chosen profession? Thanks!
